Booking Terms and Conditions

 

If you call after 5pm, please be aware that we may not be able to answer the phone, as this is our busiest time, and we always prioritise guests who are currently in our building. If we do not answer the phone, please leave a clear voicemail providing all the relevant details as requested, and we will call you back as soon as we possibly can, which may be the following morning. Should you not leave your relevant booking details and contact information, we will not be able to call you back. Alternatively, please use our online booking system, as it is always up to date and will have the same booking schedule as when calling the restaurant.

We operate on a restaurant licence; therefore, food does need to be ordered in our establishment. We do not accept bookings for drinks alone and will turn away guests who attempt to do this. Bookings may still be charged if they come expecting only drinks service.

To confirm each booking, we require guests to leave their card details. No amount will be taken from the card unless guests do not show for their booking. Guests will be charged £10pp if they do not show for any booking for any reason. If you do not receive a confirmation email upon booking, your booking is not confirmed, and you must call the restaurant to avoid disappointment. If when booking over the phone, you do not enter your card details via our deposit link within the 12-hour time limit, your booking will be automatically deleted. We do not chase up guests to complete card confirmation; it is your responsibility to provide your own card details. Due to the small size of our restaurant, late cancellations are detrimental, and we have to charge for them to protect our longevity as a business. Please call us if you cannot attend on short notice, as you may still be charged, but we'd always rather know as it gives us a chance to plan accordingly. We have a zero-tolerance policy on abusing our staff for enforcing this policy. Any guests who act in this manner will be barred from future bookings with immediate effect.

We will hold your table for 15 minutes. If you’re over 15 minutes late without informing us, we may give away your table, and you may be charged. You will have the table for the time stated in your confirmation email, as well as other important information. For this reason, please do not ignore your confirmation email and take the time to read it. All booking times include a 15-minute period for staff to clean and turn over your table. For example, a 2-hour booking slot will be allocated 1 hour and 45 minutes for dining and 15 minutes for payment to be taken and the table to be cleaned and turned by staff. Please be aware of this when booking as we are a small venue and do not have a bar area or waiting room.

We have limited availability for large parties. For parties of over 8 people, you must call the restaurant on 01709 533966. Please refrain from booking multiple tables and requesting that they are next to each other. All bookings with this request will be deleted. We also do not take into consideration specific seating requests, we must seat tables in a manner that suits our business needs best, so all seating requests will not be considered unless it is an extenuating matter such as disability, accessibility etc.

Upon booking, please inform us of any allergies or intolerances. Although we try our very best to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot 100% guarantee it. Due to the size and nature of our business, we do not allow children under 12 in the restaurant past 7pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. We welcome families on weeknights and also early evenings (latest booking time of 5pm) on Friday and Saturdays. For more information, please speak to a member of staff.
